HBACC's Professional Women in Building Council

Join HBACC's newest Council! We started this council to network, advocate, and support each other. Women have different challenges in construction than men. We are an emerging council just starting committees: Communications, Education Outreach, and Programs.

Currently, we are working on the following:

  • Cal Poly's Construction Management program to hold the Cal Poly Girls Build Academy.

  • Mentoring program for high school students.

  • Mentoring program for elementary students - introducing them to the trades.

  • We support the California Homebuilding Foundation's Building Industry Technology Academy (BITA) program placing California state-approved construction and trades curriculum taught as local high school electives.

  • We advocate with HBACC for building industry issues.

  • We hold a fundraiser at the HBACC Golf Tournament each year to raise money toward scholarships, the Girls Build Academy, BITA program, and more.

  • We help with HBACC events as needed.

Contact Lindy Hatcher to join now: LHatcher@hbacc.org. Dues are only $50. You must be a member of HBACC to join.

Like HBACC membership, this is a three-in-one local, state, and national membership getting you plugged in on issues, training, education, and mentoring. Come join us, meet women in the Construction Industry, be part of something bigger, and have some fun!
